Fees at Mount Olivet are determined on two bases: room type with amenities; and level of care required. Fees currently range from £415 to £615 per week plus the Registered Nursing Care Contribution (a minimum of £106.30 or £146.30 for Continuing Care). The Client is normally only resposible for the Room Fee as the NHS will usually contribute either £106.30 or £146.30 (from April 2009) towards nursing care. This is paid directly to the home and is dependent on the level of nursing care required as assessed by the NHS. Rooms are single or twin and may benefit from sea view, garden access, balcony and en-suite facilities. Please check with the home for current rates.

NHS Continuing Care provides for a shared room at our lowest rate. Additional facilities such as sea view or single occupancy are available for a charge equal to the normal rate for the room plus high band nursing care, less the NHS contribution. This charge is payable by the client, the NHS will normally only pay for what they consider to be the cost of basic social and nursing care.

Fees are payable monthly in advance and are non-refundable. Terms and conditions of care are regulated by a standard contract.

The overall level of fees is determined using the model developed for the Joseph Rowntree Trust by Laing and Buisson.
