Our weekly fees include accommodation, food, personal toiletries, social care and laundry. We have our own commercial laundry which is compliant with Health Service specification HSG95 (18). However, our pure cotton bed linen is sent to a professional laundry. If residents require dry cleaning we can arrange this at an additional cost.
We organise activities on a weekly basis; these include visits from local entertainers. We also organise trips to tea rooms, the local shops and to the theatre to encourage social interaction amongst residents and with their friends and relatives. We provide qualified escorts, arrange suitable transport, and friends and family members are always welcome. There is no additional charge for these activities, excluding the purchase of theatre tickets or similar items.
An occupational therapist visits us regularly offering individual and group therapy. In addition, we offer a number of services in-house including eye tests, aromatherapy, hairdressing and the services of a chiropodist. Residents are allocated personal cash accounts which are held by the administration office, from which these additional services can be paid for.
If residents have hospital or other medical appointments and relatives are unable to accompany them, we can arrange a member of staff to escort them and the appropriate transportation. This will be charged for at cost. Residents are welcome to order newspapers and magazines for delivery; they will be charged to the resident’s cash account.
