We provide an individualised approach to social activities and can also support trips away from the home. We offer arts and crafts, quizzes and musical entertainment for all of our residents who are able to engage in activities. We liaise with local organisations, for example, schools, choirs and other music groups to entertain our residents and staff particularly over the Christmas period and other celebratory occasions. Our monthly themed meals also enable all of our residents to enjoy social events whatever their level of care.

Friends and family are invited to accompany their relatives at our fêtes and other organised events and to help us to encourage our residents' personal hobby or cultural interests. We have an occupational therapist who visits us on a regular basis providing both individual and group music and exercise therapy.

At Mount Olivet we encourage residents to continue to visit their local place of worship. We are also able to arrange visits for local ministers who may hold services in the home for any residents who, for health reasons, are unable to travel.
